Marshmallow Sugar 7oz Single Wick Candle

I am pretty new to Goose Creek candles. Some of the candles I have tried have been ok; some have been good. And some have been... amazing. They were candles that, as soon as their scent filled the room, I thought "I am taking an oath, right this minute, to always keep several of these candles around. This thing is literally life-changing." I know- that sounds silly. It's only a candle- right? But there is just something about some of their candles... I think a few of you know what I am talking about. You just want to make sure you always have a certain scent of candle around, in case you get some bad news, or have a really bad day. Because that candle, in some small way, has the power to make everything feel ok again. This Marshmallow Sugar candle, for me, was one of those candles.

I say "was" because when I tried to re-order Marshmallow Sugar, it showed as no longer available. Just my luck, I thought. I haven't been ordering with Goose Creek long enough to know if when a candle becomes unavailable if that is a temporary unavailability, or if that candle is just- gone. I don't know. (I have ordered another candle in hopes it would be almost as good, but- it wasn't. This is the "Marshmallows" candle, and, while I like it, there is some charred, or dark smoke, note in it I really do not care for. :/ )

I wish I could describe what made the Marshmallow Sugar candle so amazing. It smells like... all of the marshmallow bits out of your favorite breakfast…

Burning Goose Creek's scented candles, which are of a quality I hadn't known prior to trying them, inspire me to marvel at how a simple thing like lighting a candle can totally change the feeling of a room, or of a household, or of a bad day. The scent from a candle can transport you to a childhood memory, it can brighten a gloomy afternoon, it can banish a dark mood. That's pretty amazing.

This candle- when I first lit it, and gave it a sniff, I thought "this. This is why I buy Goose Creek scented candles." Yet another candle had made my "forever" list, as it was so, so good.

And now I feel kind of ridiculous, because I really can't put into words what this candle smells like to have the power to cheer me up so much. It is sweet, and marshmallow-y, but it has hints of berries, too. But it's so much more than that. This candle just smells- happy. And I can't articulate what the smell of happy is. Vanilla cupcakes with berry frosting, dusted with powdered sugar? That comes kind of close. The sweet nostalgia that sweeps over you as you catch the scent of a sweet-smelling toy you loved as a child? That's part of it.

The Marshmallow Sugar candle doesn't have a powerhouse throw. It's one of those "light it and walk out of that room, then instantly feel wonderful when you walk back into that room, and... oh yeah- it's because of the candle!" candles. It does have a decent throw. It's just not one of those almost instant room-fillers.
